Dale Smith was like and now is a second dad to me. He always wore a smile on his face. I will never forget the exact spot he sat in church. His legacy lives on through his sons and wife. I am blessed and honored to carry on his name. Rest In Peace papa smith. I hear your voice and spirit everyday.

Most of my memories of Dale are made up of me as a little girl living near our neighbors there in Palmer Lake; one was my very pretty teacher, and the other was such a nice police officer. Dale was a friend to my family, somebody who made a difference in our lives on countless occasions; the most recent example, which has been a few years ago now, when he saved my uncle's life by getting him the care he needed so that I could have just a little more time with him. I'll never forget this kindness, and the manner in which it set our lives on a different and very positive path back home to Colorado after too many years away. Thank you for this, Dale.
You are remembered with fondness and the greatest respect.

This is a tough one. Dale Smith, you were a second father to me. You and Pat are the best! Pizza nights with Coca Cola in your sunroom, Sean, Jason, Charl and I swinging on the rope swing in your yard with Banza watching..what a wonderful person I have been lucky enough to know my entire life. You are part of what made me who I am today. You were influential in my childhood growing up in Palmer Lake. Rest easy Mr. Smith knowing that you are so loved by many! Take care my friend I'll be missing you!

oh my. Marshall Dale WAS Palmer Lake. I was blessed to have met this amazingly fine man when I first moved to Monument . I Loved working with Dale on ALL the committees, projects, boards......his quiet, elegant type passion that always got the job done was an example for everyone to follow! If your heart was in your project and it was good for the community... and you needed Marshall Dale...he never said no. I am sending true respect and a heartfelt thankyou to his memory......and have honest sorrow and warmth in my heart for Pat and each of their children!
