Mary Louise Goodale

Mary went home with Jesus on March 5th, 2018 after an extended illness, passing away at home in hospice care provided by her family.
Born to Mary (O'Bleness) and Elvin Zane in July of 1932, Mary was preceded in death by both parents, her older brother Harold, her husband of 50 years Jude Goodale, and her Grandson Maj. David Goodale.
Mary is survived by her son Tracy (Maxine) Goodale, daughter Becky (Walt) Williams, granddaughter Tina (Sol) McMillin, and granddaughter Jacque (William) McDougall. Mary is also survived by great grandsons Caiden and Merrik McMillin, Jude McDougall, and great granddaughters Desilyn, Avery, and Nina McDougall.

Mary gave her time and talent for thirteen years to the Colorado Springs Credit Union serving on the Board of Director's Supervisory, Facilities, and Y2K committees through the year 2000.
Mary, for over 50 years, was a proud and active member of the Torchbearer Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She served her sorority sisters including being twice elected Queen. The Beta Sigma Phi International Executive Council bestowed The Order of the Rose on Mary in 1985.

Mary's strong faith in God was always first and foremost in her daily life and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs. Up until Mary's health began to deteriorate in September of 2017, Mary volunteered with other congregational women in serving her church family and visiting other church members who were incapacitated.
Mary Goodale caringly touched many lives throughout the United States over her eighty five years. Mary wore many hats showcasing her talents, her caregiving and "can do" attitude, and her true love and respect for others. So sorry for your loss. It is hard to see all the older neighbors passing. I always enjoyed talking when I was out walking. You mom will be missed.

I knew Mary from working in the City/Utilities from the early 80's. Mary was always sweet, nice, respectful, and I enjoyed talking with her. My heart is saddened for our loss.

I called her my "sweet Mary'. She always hung back when we were walking because she knew I couldn't walk that well. We have known one another over fifty years so have together experienced much. We are truly sisters and sisters in sorority. My sweet Mary rest in peace.
