Elizabeth Auer
1934 - 2018
Born Elizabeth Vidakovics in Baja, Hungary, November 10, 1934 to Gergely and Vilma Vidakovics. Called home by her Lord, Jesus Christ, March 4, 2018, in Black Forest, Colorado.
Elizabeth escaped Hungary for a better life with freedom from religious persecution, settling in Akron, OH in 1958. Her life in this country has been greatly blessed.
On October 25, 1959, Elizabeth married Steve Auer, originally of Korosladany, Hungary, who preceded her in death. Together they have six children that survive them, Steve D. (Carolyn), Monument, Colorado; Elizabeth (Peter) Folia, Salem, Oregon; Cindy (John) Lelea, Hawthorne, California; Arnold (Livia), Monument, Colorado; Roy (Lan), San Diego, California; and Audrey (Rudy) Zarkovacki, Black Forest, Colorado. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her sister Rozalia Kaplar (late Jozsef), Rittman, Ohio; her brother Frank Vidakovics (Sarah), Akron, Ohio; and her sister Klara Greene, Grant's Pass Oregon.
Elizabeth was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and enjoyed spending time in her kitchen cooking, baking and canning. She also loved working in her garden and tending to the flowers in her flower bed. In September, 1981 she moved with her husband and children from Ohio to Southern California. She then moved with her husband to the Colorado Springs area in 1993, most recently residing in Black Forest with her daughter Audrey's family.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband, her brother Gergely and her sister Magdalena.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Evergreen Funeral Home in Colorado Springs. Funeral services will take place Thursday 10:00 A.M. at Evergreen with ministers of the Apostolic Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the many prayers and support on behalf of their mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.

I am so very saddened to learn of Elizabeth's passing. She was such a lovely lady and always so welcoming. Sending massive amounts of comfort and love to her wonderful family and friends.
