Wayne Eugene Worthington

Wayne E. Worthington departed this life on January 10, 2018.
He was born on a farm near Silver Lake, Kansas on July 4, 1924 to William P. and Bethel M. (Spencer) Worthington. He married Marjorie J. Kreipe June 9, 1948 and farmed near Grantville, Kansas before moving to Colorado Springs in 1968. He worked for the City of Colorado Springs in the Waste Water Department, retiring in 1998 and moving to Pueblo in 2007. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 69 years; a son, William A. Worthington (Fran) of Colorado Springs and daughter, Georgia J. White (Tony) of Pueblo, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Marge Peterson, of Glendale, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Virginia, and a brother, Dean.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 19 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 with a reception to follow at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
