DONALD "DONNIE" LEE MCNAMES
November 5, 1961 October 31, 2019
Donald Lee McNames was a beloved father, brother, and friend who passed away October 31, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was born in Burns, Oregon to the late James and Jean (Hibberd) McNames. Being the son of an Air Force police officer allowed for Donnie to see many different parts of the US. Colorado Springs would be the place the Mitchell High School graduate called home and would be where he opened his mechanic shop, Wagon Works.
Donnie had a strong love for cars, and made numerous lifelong friends building, owning, and working on race cars. He enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course, dance floor, but his favorite was the roof of a houseboat at Lake Powell.
He is survived by his daughters, Paige Art-McNames and Nicole Hyatte; son, Sean McNames; sister, Tammy McNames; brother, James "Jimmy" McNames, Jr.; and countless friends that he considered family.

WOW i just found this out!!! Donnie and I go WAY BACK some 30+ years and had an in treating relationship! We helped each other out of troubling situations, mine with car repairs, his with his shop situation. He rebuilt a pickup truck motor for me and I built his old shop space! we connected at least once each year or so and always had good times at lunch or breakfast! Such a talented guy that will be deeply missed...
