Doris Helena (Slade) Thomas, long time resident of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 86 on April 9, 2018. Doris was born in Wilcoe, West Virginia to the late Lillian (Ashe) Slade and the late Walter Slade in 1931. She grew up in Washington, D.C., where she graduated from Howard University in 1954.
