Edith Marie Bowers died peacefully on September 22, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. Edith was born October 31, 1925 in Brasov, Romania to Frederic and Maria (Balasz) Gusbeth. In 1947 Edith moved to Germany to study languages at the University in Goettingen. Subsequently she became an interpreter for the French Services seeking missing victims of WWII. Later she became an interpreter/translator for the U.S. Air Force Intelligence Service where she met and married her husband of 60 years, Roy E. Bowers. Edith continued her work with languages in Colorado as a court interpreter, a translator of technical documents, and as a tutor and teacher of several languages, of the six languages in which she was fluent. Edith was preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Bowers and is survived by her loving husband, Roy, daughters, Beatrice Allen, Ildiko Beyer, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 4 great-granddaughters.
