It is with sadness that we send our condolences to you Abe, Mark and family. We were unaware of Eleanor's illness but we are encouraged to know she is in heaven and we will see her again. As Ron & Chris mentioned, it was in our younger years that we met Eleanor and Abe at Ferndale Church in Peterborough, Ont. On a Sunday a.m. she slid over in the seat and introduced herself and said that she wanted to invite us for a visit. She was the first one who issued the invitation. It brought joy to our hearts, as we were new to town and we didn't know many people. She set an example of the value of friendship and hospitality. Eleanor blessed our family. We thank the Lord for her. She was a wonderful, caring friend.

It has been many years since we climbed the cherry trees and bailed of hay, or skated on the 15 mile creek or made up plays in your basement. During our adult life distance kept us apart but for a few visits, but I have thought often about the enjoyable times we shared as kids. I will remember them always. Love Marilynn

Christine and I have learned today that Eleanor has passed. We are deeply saddened because the friendship we knew with you Abe, and your dear Eleanor, meant so much to us when we were all young in Peterborough Ontario. Our work and our choices have moved all of us very far apart, yet the memories bring us tightly together. We are grateful that she enjoyed the security of her Saviour's promises.

Dear Abe, we have so many wonderful memories of our years together in Peterborough, and ministry at Ferndale Bible Church. Eleanor was a vivacious, gentle, talented, spiritual woman admired by us all. She will be greatly missed. We send our condolences to you at this time, but rejoice together in our hope found in Jesus. Blessings and love to you, Ron and Christine.

Dear Abe, It's been so many years but we remember all the good times we had together. The adult fellowships at Ferndale Bible Church, the fellowships in each other's homes. It was a good and happy time. We are so sad to hear of the passing of Eleanor but rejoice in her entrance into the fullness of our Saviour's kingdom. It will not be long until we are all together again. Much love and blessings.
