Fernie Kay Clark of Colorado Springs passed away February 2, 2019. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 57 years. He was born on July 1, 1926 in Perry, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fernie L. and Mellie Clark. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Elder) Clark.
Fernie served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Florida State University. He retired from the Air Force Space Command as a Real Estate Specialist. He was a member of Village Seven Presbyterian Church. His hobbies were bridge in which he was a Master Point Player, bowling, golf, reading, fishing and travel. He was an active member of the Argonauts and enjoyed his Engineer retiree group.
Fernie is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Parker; sons: Mike (Carla) Clark, Charlie (Ann) Clark, Paul (Val) Clark; step-children: Kyle (Gabriele) Hunke, Amy (Joe) Galloway, Mary (Mark) Bunge; grandchildren: Jamie (Kris) Sproul, Lindsey (Chris) Kinzer, Heather (Ryan) Gable, Kristine Chisholm, Kristi (Chris) Nellor, Lori (Billy) Trujillo; step-grandchildren: Jeffrey (Jessica) Galloway, Benjamin (Tori Crain) Galloway, Jenna and Nicolas Larson, Paul J (Mary Reid) Bunge, and Caroline Bunge; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on February 21, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.ShrineOfRemembrance.com. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South, reception immediately following.
