Geneva Brothers, age 88, passed away on November 10, 2019. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother, entrepreneur and real estate investor.
Geneva was born November 7, 1931 to Clinton Ross Beamer and Ethel (Gallion) Beamer in Grinnell, Kansas. On June 11, 1950, she married Gordon Loyd Brothers in Oakley, Kansas.
Geneva found joy in traveling, beaches, sunsets, and views of Pikes Peak; which she shared with her husband of 51 years, Gordon. She was raised on a working farm in Grinnell, Kansas and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1949. She was a member of United Methodist Women for over 50 years.
She is survived by her loving children: Gwen Fowler, Gary Brothers (Tami), Gene Brothers (Mohini Singh), and Gaye Belles (Mark); 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and siblings: Boyd Beamer, Leah Walz, and Wilma Woodhouse.
A celebration of Geneva's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. A reception will follow the memorial service at the church. She will be inurned at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
Memorials in Geneva's name may be made to services she supported: The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, Arizona; St. Paul's United Methodist Church Memorial Fund; or Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado.
