Janet B. Hubby
October 31, 1932 - February 23, 2018
Born in Wisconsin, Jan lived a life full of laughter and love with her husband, Bruce M. Hubby. Many recognized her as the owner of The Little Lode Gift Shoppe in Cripple Creek, Colorado for thirty-four years until she moved to Colorado Springs.
She was a graciously poised lady full of laughter and one-liners, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Whether teaching second grade, oil painting, or walking the beach in Destin, Florida, she was always living through Christ. Not only was she a fast driver until the day her grandson hid her keys, she was also quick to give to those in need. She generously gave thousands of Beanie Babies over the years to various ministries for mission trips.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Jim) Farmer; son, Brent W. (Lesli) Hubby; and grandsons, Logan Farmer, Kal (Jennifer) Farmer, and Turner W. Hubby.
Jan's family would like to extend a special thank you to Freedom Home Assisted Living, who gracefully cared for her in the final years of her life.
Family Gathering, 1:30PM, Saturday, March 17, 2018, home of Brent Hubby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Freedom Home Assisted Living, Inc., 10080 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920.
