KRISTINE KANE FARICY

Kris was born to HayDen and Elizabeth Kane in Dubuque, Iowa. Her family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1950 where she received her primary education and graduated from St. Mary's High School. She then headed to Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Illinois where she was awarded a degree in Art History. She married Patrick Faricy in 1969 and had three children: Luke, Mark and Kate. She was fortunate to have six grandchildren: Stella, Marlow, Sloan, Elizabeth, Fred and Josephine.
Kris loved the arts. She taught art history to elementary school children in Denver and Colorado Springs. She was a partner in the HayDen Hays Gallery at The Broadmoor from 1991 to 2010. She was passionate about and active with both Colorado Springs Dance Theater and Downtown Ventures' Art on the Streets.
She will be dearly missed by her mother, husband, children and grandchildren as well as her siblings: Robert, Patti, Thomas, Mark, Peter and HayDen II.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 26th at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, CO. A Rosary Vigil will be held the evening prior on Thursday, October 25th at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider The Colorado Springs Dance Theater or Downtown Ventures' Art on the Streets.
