Mary Ruth Anglund Gentry Rose, 84, Denver, born January 18, 1933 in Colorado Springs. Passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy C. Anglund and Nina R. Rose, and her nephew, Mikel A. Anglund. She is survived by her brothers, Timothy C. Anglund (Sandra) of Connecticut, Richard N. Anglund of Colorado, and Allan E. Anglund (Carol) of Colorado; her children, Bryan D. Gentry of California and Pamela L. Stewart of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Kathleen Stewart and Thomas Stewart of Pennsylvania; her former husband, Earl T. Gentry; along with four nieces and three nephews.
She grew up in Colorado Springs and was the "head girl" at Palmer High School. She attended Kansas University and Denver University under Drama scholarships and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority at Kansas University. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from CSU. She was a teacher at Ault, and North Junior High in Colorado Springs.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., in the Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, located at 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, 80903.
