MAURINE MILDRED BOWEN

Maurine Mildred Bowen passed on to Heaven after 96 years of a full and loving life. She was born to Floyd and Ida Wiler in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She married her high school sweetheart Richard (Dick) Bowen on August 23, 1942 in the Little Brown Church in the Vail in Nashua, Iowa.
She is survived by her sons, Jim (Maryanne) Bowen of Gunnison, CO; Mark (Jane) Bowen of Silver City, NM; daughter-in-law, Joni Bowen of Montrose, CO; her 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, David; sisters, Helen Sherman, Grace Bragonier, Ruth Wynn; and granddaughter, Susan Maurine Bowen.
A memorial service will be held at The Homestead in Montrose, CO at 1819 Pavilion Drive on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. She will be joining her husband, Dick, in a burial service to be held at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins, CO on Thursday September 27, 2018 at 12:00 noon. A celebration of her life will be held immediately after at Cafe Vino on College Ave at 1:30pm.
Memorial donations can be made to the Colorado Talking Book Library, Volunteers of America or Hope West Hospice.
