In Loving Memory
Micah Lee Flick
August 20th, 1983 - February 5th, 2018
Micah Lee Flick, 34, was killed in the line of duty on February 5th, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado while serving with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. He is survived by his wife Rachael and his seven-year-old twins, Eliana and Levi.
Micah passed on the anniversary of his 11th year of service with the EPSO during an auto theft investigation that led to a fatal gunshot wound. Micah gave his life protecting his fellow officers and the community. Hours after his death was announced, thousands of law enforcement officers from across the state came to pay tribute and participate in the six mile procession bringing his body from the hospital to the coroner's office. Residents of Colorado Springs lined the streets waving flags and with hands over hearts in the cold to pay tribute to the fallen Deputy.
Micah graduated from Colorado Springs Christian School in 2002 with honors and excelled in his athletic endeavors. He could be counted on for a solid handshake, a genuine conversation, a corny joke and a his personal, humorous take on the latest hit pop song. Everyone who met Micah would describe him as a man of integrity, honor and servitude; a true hero.
As a Colorado Springs native, Micah loved spending time with his family, furthering his education, staying active, and serving in his position as a detective. He was passionate about his faith, his family, and his community.
Micah is also survived by his parents Tim and Chenoa Flick, his three siblings and their spouses: Chantelle Flick Sharketti (Kalani) and their children Kawika and Kainoa, Brynden Flick (Rachel), and Cierra Flick Brown (Chris).
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 1:00pm at New Life Church located at 11025 Voyager Parkway in Colorado Springs.

You are a true man of God and I will forever remember the sacrifice you made for your friends, for our Office EPSO and for the citizens we are sworn to protect. Love you always. You are a true HERO. Thank you! We have the watch from here brother.

We mourn a fallen hero;
A community in grief.
Preceded by many others,
their time here much too brief.
We blow our heads in mourning, for this young man we didn't know;
We try to believe he had a more important place to go.
I was taught as a child, when good people come to rest;
They were chosen to be angels, the best of the best.
I pray for his loved ones, that they may know its not the end;
Its just the "End of Watch" for him;
may you rest in peace, my friend.

Even though I never had the opportunity to met Micah, he will never be forgotten to the citizens of Colorado we owe him so much for keeping us safe each and every day.
You will never forget Micah, eventually however, you will be able to move on as the pain of your loss will become easier to bare. He will always be in your heart and the hearts of your very blessed children. Law enforcement will always have your backs in Colorado and throughout the entire world. Micah was the best of the best and will live on in your hearts and memories. Rachel & Family
It's amazing how things work sometimes. I am a recent widow, I lost my husband of almost 28 years June 30, 2016. He was a twin, his twin was a former deputy with El Paso County. I know my brother-in-law feels as thou he lost another brother. My little niece in Florida name is Micah. Strange.. Be brave Be Strong hold on to family and faith. It's not easy and i'd love to tell you a year later it's easier, it's not. But the love remains and that what counts, in our hearts and soul they are never gone. In our children & my grand children they carry on. Their love is in us forever. Ever sincerely...
