Let me first say that our prayers and condolences are extended to the Proby family. Truly, we grieve the Homegoing of our beloved Pastor, but we celebrate for he is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father. It has been our pleasure to grow spiritually under the leadership of Pastor Proby. I am equally grateful to have known pastor, not only as my pastor, but as a friend as well. I will miss hearing pastor's prelude, "Oh, I've had some bad days", as he leads into my favorite song of "I Won't Complain."

Sister Proby and Our St John's Baptist Church family - Thanking God for His Love and Mercy - It was March 1976 that we met Pastor Proby. He could hold our attention with his majestic and Spirit-led voice. A voice that ushered our family closer to God. He became our Paster on Palm Sunday in 1976. We loved him! Yet we know "Joy & peace will come in the morning" - There is no doubt in our hearts that Pastor has gone on to rest in a better place, beyond the river, the river that flows from Calvary's mountain, where there the Bright and Morning Star sheds it's beams around us all. As John 19:34 states, "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water" - Pastor Proby is doing okay! Because of this, we too have peace. We will continue to pray that Jesus keeps us near the cross.

My heart hurts because I have lost a mentor, a teacher, a friend and a father figure. I praise Amighty GOD, because I know you are enjoying "heaven". I know that your loved ones left on earth will walk in the strength of GOD. I know "My Pastor" is in a better place. I will miss his teaching. You planted a seed in me that continues to grow day by day; I thank you for that. I will continue to walk in the truth of GOD's word because of you, Pastor Proby. I will always remember: Hosea 4:6. You laid that foundation for me and taught me to build upon it: Seek ye first the kingdom of GOD; seek wisdom; acknowledge GOD in all things; in all your getting, get understanding; if any man lacketh wisdom, let him ask of GOD who giveth........; seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be open; study to show thyself approved........ Psalm 23,24 &37. There will never be another like you Pastor!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR FEEDING ME!!!!!!!

Sis. Linda, Rev Proby not only served in Colo. Springs, but he had been a Pastor in two local churches in Pueblo. He was well known and well liked. In fact we have some pictures of him during that time at Bethlehem Baptist Church and members. His passing leaves a void in this area. Let it be known he as a giant among men and was loved by all. May God Bless you and lead you through these days of sorrow. Let us know if we can assist you in anyway.
