Nancy Carol Gomas passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born on August 14, 1933 to Edward Lung and Amolia (Funk) Lung in Fresno, California. She graduated from Fresno's Roosevelt High School in 1951 and then attended Central California Commercial College. She married Roger A. Gomas on July 24, 1954 in Fresno. They lived in many different places during Roger's 24 years of military service.
Nancy worked as an accountant. She also kept busy as a volunteer with churches, schools and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roger A. Gomas; a daughter, Terri Ferguson (Dave); 3 sons: Rick (Violet), Rod (Elaine) and Randy; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A luncheon reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Private inurnment will take place at Belmont Memorial in Fresno, California.
Memorials in Nancy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
