Nelson H. Samsel (Sam) peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on March 9, 2021. He was born in rural Pennsylvania on July 11, 1939. Sam joined the Air Force when he was 18 years old. He retired 21 years later. He enjoyed traveling around the world with his family. His beloved wife passed away in June 2020. Sam is survived by his children Dennis, Scott and Tina (Kurtis), and grandchildren Tyler (Amber), Sammy, Haley, Jasmine and Amelia. We will miss his sense of humor and laugh. Nothing stopped Sam and his wife of 58 years from doing what they loved including bowling, volunteering with the Paralyzed Veterans of America, going to Bronco games and spending as much time with family as they could. He adored his grandchildren and loved teasing them with his "beautiful singing". Before retiring for the second time Marge and Sam ran a home day care center. He helped shape the lives of many children. We will miss him dearly but we are comforted knowing he is reunited in Heaven with his sweetheart. Services will be held at Dove Witt in Fountain on April 9th at 1200. There will be a private ceremony at Pikes Peak Cemetery to follow to lay to rest both Sam and Marge. Please RSVP to Dennis, Scott or Tina if you would like to attend either service or both.
