Patricia Dorothy White passed away on January 14, 2018, at Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born December 20, 1941, Pat grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, and graduated from Colorado College in 1963. After teaching elementary school in Security, CO and Jemez Springs, NM, she worked at the Colorado College library, Teikyo University library, and for the EPA in Denver.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Margery and Ben Rau; and her brother, William Rau. She is survived by her sisters, Dede Gile and Betty Santandrea; and her nieces and nephews: Sasha Rau, David Schewel, Sara Schewel Foster, and Matthew Schewel, and their families. Her grandnieces and grandnephews brought much joy to her life. Pat loved to spend time and connect with her many friends, who enjoyed her personality and wry sense of humor. Patricia's family is particularly grateful for her special friends, the Wuorenmaa family of Colorado Springs, who provided companionship and constant support over the last thirty years.
Donations in her memory can be made to Colorado College's Annual Fund. A memorial service is planned for the spring.
