Ruth Dorothea Graff was born to Charles and Regina Nee Scheuerl Graff on July 24, 1924 in New York, New York as one of three children. She was baptized in infancy and was confirmed April 2, 1937 at St. Simeons Episcopal Church. She then attended Walton High School in the New York public school system.
Following her education, she became an employee of the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board where she met her future husband, Walter Wilson of Brooklyn, New York and was married on February 8, 1948 in St. James Episcopal Church.
Ruth left her employment to become a full-time loving wife and a devoted mother to her three children, namely James Walter, Robert Charles and Ruth Frances McCormick. She was also the loving grandmother to Ahren and Sasha Wilson, Michael and Heather McCormick and 9 great grandchildren.
After her children attained adulthood, Ruth returned to the business world and worked as secretary to the Christian Day School of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Yonkers, New York where she was communicant and a member of ladies' groups.
Ruth lived in Colorado Springs since 1984 and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
During her life on this earth, Ruth was fortunate to enjoy good health and after attaining the age of 94, was called to her Heavenly Fathers reward.
She is being laid to rest with her husband of 56 years Walter, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
