Jeff Saviano

Jeff Saviano passed away April 3, 2018. He was a long time Colorado Springs resident.
Among the things Jeff loved were his family, science, reading, cooking and teaching. He was a knowledge-seeker and self-taught musician. His friends, family and colleagues knew and respected him for his integrity and generosity.
Jeff served the community in his career in Crime Scene Investigation with The El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and Colorado Springs Police Department and had his own forensic consulting company.
Jeff leaves behind his wife, Jeri; son, Steffan; daughter, Rachel; granddaughter, Swayze; brother, Randy; and extended family and friends who loved him. His loss creates a hole in all our hearts.
An informal gathering will take place on Saturday, April 7th from 2pm - 5pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.

To the Saviano family
I had the honor of meeting Jeff in another lifetime while in the radio business. I always loved his honesty, integrity and his humor. I was happy to help him with his forensic studies when he asked to use one of my grey hairs for one of his tests. I was sorry to find out that he couldn't distinguish me from an Elk.
I'm a better person because of knowing him. RIP my old friend.

Jeff was always available and fun to be around. More than a great Criminalist, he was truly a man of many talents. I will miss you my good friend. My prayers are for Jeri and his family.

I'm a friend of Jeff's sister-in-law, Joni Lapp. Through her, I learned what an amazing person Jeff was. I know that she and her daughter, Grace, will sorely miss Jeff.
