Lorna Griffith Salway, 60, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully Friday February 19, 2021 with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Per Lorna's request a funeral will not take place. A private celebration of life with be held later this year.
Lorna was born December 17th, 1960 in Oklahoma to Bob and Gretta Griffith. The family moved to Colorado Springs where Lorna went to school and made a life for herself. Lorna was a bartender and professional house painter for many years.
Lorna married her best friend, Harley Salway, on February 15, 1991. They were blessed to celebrate their 30th Anniversary before her passing. The two of them were inseparable. Where you found one, you would always find the other.
Lorna was the mother of Stephanie Fletcher and Justin Cordova and Grandmother to Elijah Jackson and Lilly Tryon. She was a wonderful stepmom and step grandparent to Harley's children. Lorna never knew a stranger and was kind to anyone she met.
Lorna is preceded in death by her mother Gretta Griffith and her father Bob Griffith. She is survived by her son, Justin Cordova, daughter, Stephanie McCants (Shannon), Grandchildren, Elijah Jackson and Lilly Tryon, several stepchildren and step grandchildren, brothers, Herb and Robert (Janet) Griffith, and many cousins.
She was deeply loved in life and will be greatly missed by all you knew her.
