Edward McGuire Obituary

Edward Kelly McGuire died November 11, 2016 after a series of strokes. Kelly was a retired Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, a former teacher at Colorado Technical University and a former business owner in Monument, CO. A resident of Monument for 26 years, he was consistently involved in community affairs and a long time volunteer of Guest Services at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

He is survived by his wife Lucy and their four children: Richard McGuire of Bryan, TX, Stacy Kirkpatrick of Richardson, TX, Jenifer McGuire of Minneapolis, MN and Jonathan McGuire of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Cameron (Mia) McGuire, Aiden McGuire and Colin McGuire as well as his brother, Dan McGuire of Naperville, IL and two sisters, Michele DiGiacomo of Dallas, TX and Cecile Hawkins of Garland, TX.

He was preceeded in death by his brother Larry McGuire of Rockport, TX earlier this year.

Funeral services will be held on November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 N. Jefferson St., Monument, CO. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Tri Lakes Cares, 235 Jefferson St., Monument, CO.
