WESLEY O. SIMMONS
November 1, 1937 March 3, 2020
On March 3, 2020, Wesley Simmons went home to be with the Lord. Wes was known in the Colorado Springs community as the owner and operator of Bon Shoe Repair for nearly 40 years, but he was so much more. He spent time with every customer, whether it was to be a witness of God's love, to console, or deliver a happy message or joke. He would not hesitate to encourage and pray with them in whatever struggle they would be going through. Wes was deeply loved by his family and community. He will be missed, but his beautiful spirit lives on in those he touched. The best way to honor Wes and what he would want, is for you to go forward and share his love and light with the world. Smile at a stranger, be a shoulder to those hurting, and be kind to everyone you meet. Wes is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Isaiah 54:10 "The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end; I will keep forever my promise of peace." So says the Lord who loves you.

Wes was a true gentleman and a gem of a man. I started going to him with my shoes in 1987 and always enjoyed my chats with him and looked forward to his friendly banter.
I am so sorry he didn't live longer to enjoy his retirement which he so richly deserved. Rest in peace dear Wes!

I was fortunate to have known Wes for over 40 years. He was a kind soul to everyone he met and was the hardest working man that I have ever known! I loved Wes like a brother. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

We were customers of Wesley's for many many years. We always enjoyed our spirited conversations whenever we were in his shop. He was a kind and gentle man. So sorry for your loss.
