Good day Guishi, my family and I wish to extend our condolences, love and prayers to you and your family.
I had the pleasure of working with your mom at my first assignment as a school teacher at Devonshire Academy.
I admired her for being a godly woman, who was firm, fair and who loved and cared for those she encountered.
I was inspired and influenced greatly, both in my professional and personal life.
Also brought back many memories of our days at Bermuda College.

My favourite teacher!
When I met Mrs. Guishard for the first time at The Berkeley Institute in 1957, she was the kindest, sweetest human being I had ever met. As I recounted in my book, she was the teacher on duty in detention one day when I stopped by to see if my name was on the list for that afternoon, she welcomed me into the classroom and immediately disarmed me with her incredibly powerful, soft-spoken manner. She exuded pure love and I always remembered her for that.
As a nurse she stood out among her peers, propelled by her natural gifts of caring and concern for those who were fortunate to come under her supervision.
Thanks to her family for sharing her with all of us who benefitted from the essence of her sweet soul!

Aunt Juanita, as she asked me to call her, was an angel on earth. I fondly remember my last visit to her home and the sumptuous breakfast that she prepared. I felt like the prodigal son. I will miss her dearly
