Kenneth Johnson Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" R. Johnson, age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 12, 1946, in Brownsville, PA. to the late Issac & Frances (Nicholas) Johnson.
Kenneth later moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he attended and graduated from Westinghouse High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 and completed his military training as an executive chef. Kenneth worked at Volkswagen, and eventually movedaround with different companies until he began working at Carnegie Mellon University as a maintenance custodian until retiring in June 2011.
Kenneth would have celebrated 33 years clean and sober on October 10, 2025. He was active in helping others along their journey of overcoming addiction. Kenneth's testimony spoke for itself in his positive outlook on life.
Kenneth was known for his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna Johnson, son Steve Clark (Vanita), grandson Brentell Clark, brother Lewis Johnson, sisters Sonya Clark, Imogene Johnson, and Michele Owens.
Loved ones to continue on his legacy are daughter Kimberly "Kim" Clark-Baskin (Rasheed), son Lewis Clark (Adina), brothers Lloyd (Tamra) and Isaac "Doc" Johnson, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Kenneth was an adored Pop-Pop by 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
