Peggy Foss Obituary

Peggy Jo Foss, 97, of Ocala, FL passed away on April 6th at her daughter's home in Ocala, FL. She was born on February 5, 1928 in Spring City, TN to Earnest and Bertha (Durham) Tilley. She moved to Cleveland, OH around 1966 and worked for several years at Dickey Grabbler Co., a factory, until moving to Ocala, Florida in 1978. She then worked at K-Mart on Silver Springs Boulevard for over 10 years where she made many friends. She loved gardening and flowers and was pulling weeds only a few weeks ago. She was very independent and wanted to do for herself – but she appreciated her family and loved all her friends. She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters Regina Kendrick (Bobby), Kathy (Richard) Barker, Carol Sheridan, and her sons James (Phia) Foss, Charles (Janice) Foss. Grandchildren: Kim Braun (Jeffrey), Joyce Hale of Cleveland, OH, Cassidy Kendrick of Ocala, FL, Tina Hughes, Gina Hylton, Christ Benchek, Maria Benchek, Judy Benchek, Michelle Benchek, Danielle Foss, Stacie Foss, and Jordan Fos, and several great-grandchildren in Cleveland, OH. She is preceded in death by her husband, George H. Foss, daughter and son in law, Linda (Alan) Hale, grandson Scott Hale, mother and father Earnest and Bertha (Durham) Tilley, and 7 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home at 606 SW 2nd Ave. Ocala, FL 34471 on Friday. April 11th at 11am. Visitation from 10:30am - 11am. Burial to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens at noon.
