Anthony Rosonke Obituary

Tony Rosonke, 80, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Fountain Hills, AZ. He was born on July 5, 1944, in New Hampton, IA. He was raised on a farm with 5 brothers and 1 sister. He met his wife Pat Rosonke on a blind date and married her on June 27, 1970. Tony enjoyed traveling with Pat to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Ireland. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Wonderful" at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club by all of Pat's friends. He loved playing euchre and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. Tony graduated from Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a master's degree at Northern Illinois in Industrial and Traffic Safety. He became a history and geography teacher and Drivers Ed instructor at Harlem School District in Loves Park, IL for 35 years. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Anthony Rosonke, his beloved wife Pat, and his brothers Roger and Richard (Mary Ann) Rosonke. Tony is survived by his daughters Kristen (Frank) Mucci, Suzanne (Jay) Balfour, and grandsons Anthony Mucci, James Mucci, and JP Balfour. His sister Kate (Mike) Felder and brothers Steve, Vince, and Dave (Liz) Rosonke. Also, can't forget his grand dogs, Rocco and Gordie.
