Zaragoza Salinas Obituary

ZARAGOZA "SONNY" SALINAS, JR. Zaragoza "Sonny" Salinas, Jr. age 86, passed away May 21, 2025 at his residence in Alice, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Ramirez, Texas to Zaragoza and Carolina Salinas. He married his wife of 68 years, Gloria Barrera Salinas and together they had four children; Sandra (Bill) Sanchez of Alice, Luis Ricardo (Nelda) Salinas of Houston, Jose Daniel (Madeline) Salinas of Alice and Liza (Abriel) Garcia of Goodyear, Arizona. He was preceded in death by one son, Jose Daniel Salinas and one grandson, Luis Ricardo, Jr. He had six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He worked as a machinist at Dixie Iron Works for over 30 years. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses Sonny loved sharing the good news of Gods Kingdom. He was a kind, loving man with an unforgettable smile. Nothing brought Sonny more joy than spending time with his family and dear friends, whether it was gathering around a table playing dominoes, or just sitting around talking. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21st at 11 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses.
