Meschelle Johnson Obituary

My God. I am just finding out of Meschelle's passing. This hits hard.
I met Meschelle in 1989 while attending Savannah State College/Savannah State University. She was truly a lovely person and kept me out of trouble.
Not only did we attend SSC together, we were in the ROTC program together.. ( Lord Jesus, I can see us doing p.t. and shinning those boots for uniform day).
Because of her vibrant smile that would light up a room and make every little worry fade and her caring spirit and voice, I soon dubbed her as my Oleta Adams.
When I saw Meschelle at a Relay For Life event a few years ago, it was like being back on campus.
We exchanged numbers and spoke a few times after. Then, there was emptiness and silence.
I often thought about her and would send up a word of prayer, hoping all was well.
I know now and for sure, that all is well and that she has not only gained her wings but has been made whole.
REST IN YOUR PARADISE MY FRIEND.

My condolences to the family of Meschelle Johnson. I had the opportunity and honor of being her Military Science Instructor/Advisor at Savannah State. Meschello was an excellent student/cadet and will be surely missed. Her "Can Do" attitude and leadership as a Military Science Cadet was one to be emulated by others. My prayers goes out to the family and may God strengthen you during these difficult times.

My Dear Savannah State ROTC Battle Buddy & Friend. We were 2 peas in a pod in college, we tried to be Marines but realized we'd be suited more for the Army. Lol. We were there for each other through good & tough times then. Life happens & we lost touch for a long time after graduation, weddings etc. I thought of you & your Sis Kathy often & we finally connected via LinkedIn in recent years. I wish we'd spent some time together, I missed my good friend who always made me laugh even on a bad day. I appreciate our friendship & the rides to FT Stewart on the weekends, the car had its issues but we were so happy to get off campus. Lol. I'm heart broken that I was'nt aware, I would've come to Anniston, I was stationed there 27 years ago. My condolences & prayers for your husband,

Meschelle and I met in the 7th grade at Hinesville Middle School. She was always a bright light shining amongst our friend group. She was full of fun and laughter. Even though we haven't seen each other in years, I never forgot about her. She will be deeply missed. Praying God's comfort and peace upon all of her family and friends.

So very sad to read the news of Meschelle Johnson´s passing. She was a light and one of those rare people that made your day brighter every time you saw her. Prayers for peace and comfort for her family during this difficult time.

Once in a lifetime a special someone comes into your life and balances your existence by providing everything you needed and asked for. Meschell was my true soul mate. Now my balance is off without her. I will love and cherish you and the memories we shared. Until I see you again.

May my thoughts go out to both families. I will always remember Mechelle´s beautiful smile with those pearly white teeth. Beautiful with lots of humor. Wings of Glory.

Meschelle was one of the most beautiful, exciting, and authentic souls I have ever encountered on this earth, to date. We worked together at United Way's YOG program in the early 2000's. To add, she was my dear Soror. As fate would have it, we had another opportunity to reconnect as co-workers at Virginia College's online and ground campuses. It has been years since I saw Meschelle, and I am in a state of utter disbelief. To say that she will be "truly missed" does not encapsulate the immeasurable impact her spirit had on many, that will miss her dearly. I will miss you immensely, my dearest Soror and friend. May your soul eternally rest in the peace and love of our almighty God.

So shocked to hear of this loss. This is a mighty loss to the family and all who knew Mechelle. She was always a joy. She was a wonderful co leader and an inspiration to our girl scout troop in Hinesville,GA. The girls always crowded her and argued to sit next to her. Mechelle always had a solution. My deepest condolences to her husband and family. Heaven has another joyful angel.

Daily laughter flooded our soul uncontrollably in DCT- VICA class with Mr. Bell at Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, GA. She was certainly the life of the party, class, bus, hallway, and conversation. You can count on her cracking your side humor every time!!! Diane, although it has been years since we connected I will always love you. Growing up in the country by my grandmother´s house was so much fun, with you around. Growing up down the road and also being first cousin were two basic factors in my knowing Diane. However her display of humor and a little sass will always be a definite outline of my remembering her. She was always inspiring and devoted to making sure laughter incorporated in each time we met. My fondest memory of Meschelle, her parents allow her to stay the night at my house so we can hang out for the weekend. Also our math class was a cosmetology class bc everyday she did my makeup and my hair. rest on my dear sweet beautiful spirit friend.

This is just so unbelievably shocking to me! Annie Diane you were a blessing always full of life the literal life of the party! You helped me in so many ways and I knew every time I´d see you I´d always get a big laugh! I guess God needed to see that beautiful smile more than we did... it´s bittersweet that I got to see you over Christmas break while visiting my grandma 2 Christmas ago I wish I would´ve seen you more! My auntie was the life of the party. There was never a dull moment while she was present. She was a family Women. She cared about her family and would give her last to make sure her family had everything. I will always remember her beautiful smile, the nicknames she had for everyone. My aunt loved to shop, and anytime shopping was involved she was ready to shop. She was a giver. I will always remember her diva personality and her dance moves.
