Debra Hooper Obituary

Glouster Debra S. North Hooper, 73 of Glouster, passed away Sunday July 6, 2025, at the Embassy of Logan. She was born October 5, 1951, a daughter of the late Virgil and Doris Smith North. She retired as a secretary from the Trimble Local Schools.

She is survived by two sons, Shane Hooper and Jonathan (Angie) Hooper; a daughter, Shelley Lewis; grandchildren Kayla Hooper, Aaron Schoonover, Harley Blower, Sydney Mecum, John Michael Hooper, Mason Mecum and Cooper Lewis; great grandchildren Braxton, Carter, and Nova; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Michael A. Hooper, two sisters, and one brother.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Carlin House in Logan and Embassy of Logan for the excellent care that they provided.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, with Gary Humphrey Jr., officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Glouster. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
