HILLARY KRISTINE CARROLL

January 15, 1975 - January 9, 2025

Hillary Kristine Carroll, born January 15, 1975 is now in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Los Angeles, Hillary moved to Bakersfield at the age of two.

Hillary graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1993. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching credential from Evergreen State College in Washington. After graduation, she returned to Bakersfield and her alma mater BHS to teach art and ceramics. Hillary was an incredibly creative person with a passion for sharing her love of art with her students.

With the birth of her children, Hillary embarked on her new role of mom with enthusiasm and joy. She was a loving, dedicated mother who was active in her kids' lives and education, homeschooling them for many years.

Hillary had a deep love of the ocean that lasted a lifetime. She often referred to it as her "happy place". She was able to fulfill her longtime dream of living near the beach when she moved to the central coast in 2022.

She is survived by her four beautiful children, Penellope, Kalliope, Olliver and Essyx-Ellery, father Paul (Indri) Carroll, brothers Kristopher, Kennon (Leslie), and Korey (Christina) Carroll, nieces Kate, Karoline, Zoey, and nephews Coleman, Gavin and Myles. She is reunited in heaven with her mother Denese.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11am at Laurelglen Bible Church in Bakersfield, CA.

I am so sorry for the families loss. Hillary was my favorite teacher in high school and even kept in touch with me and my little family a bit after graduation. She really was a great person. My thoughts are with the family during this time.

Mine and Karens hearts are deeply saddened at the passing of Hillary. Our memories of her were of a delightful young lady. She was kind to our children as Billy and Blake attended BHS. We were the across the street neighbors for years. Many times, I seen flashes of light inside of my home created as her car pulled up to her Parents House-Grandma and Grandpas. I would venture to our front door and watch as she gathered her babies from the vehicle. Many times, Karen and I wondered on over to see those babies as they played in the Paul's front yard. Hillary had a beautiful smile-I remember it clearly. She was a protective mother. Her children-always beautiful as well. We mourn with the Carrolls, Hillary`s children-and all that knew her.

I always thought my Uncle Paul and Aunt Denise were so cool and loved spending time with them . When Hillary was little I remember how cute she was and I loved dressing her up . As she grew , I always thought she was so beautiful and she reminded me of the Aunt I loved so much . I loved seeing her as a mom and now my heart hurts that she is no longer with us but I am thankful she´s with so many of our family members who have gone before her now. My prayers are held up for the family she has left behind now and I ask God to surround them in love and provide their each and every need.
