Susan Magana Obituary

SUSAN VICTORIA MAGAÑA

June 16, 1959 - July 2, 2025

Susan (Susie) Magaña, 66, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Born and raised in East Bakersfield, Susie attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School and graduated from East Bakersfield High, where her deep family roots were planted and lifelong friendships began. She devoted over 30 years to State Compensation Insurance Fund, taking pride in helping others and building lasting bonds along the way.

Susie's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished family traditions, holidays, classic Hollywood films, Motown music, and Bunco gatherings. She was known for her signature red lipstick, sparkling nails, love of peacocks, and unforgettable margaritas.

Susie is survived by her husband, John, daughter, Adriana, and grandchildren, Gaia and Donovan-Jove. She also leaves behind her siblings Mary, Angela, and Louis, along with many beloved extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harriet and Catalino Jacinto, and baby brother, Henry.

Susie brought warmth, laughter, and a little sparkle wherever she went. She'll be remembered for her generous heart, quiet strength, and the grace she carried through life. Her spirit lives on in all who knew and loved her.
