Tracy Presson Obituary

TRACY LYNN PRESSON

November 3, 1958 – June 24, 2024

Santa Ysabel – Tracy was born on November 3, 1958 to Bill and Phyllis Dawson in Portland, Oregon and passed away with family and friends at her ranch in Santa Ysabel, California.

Tracy was a tomboy who grew into a beautiful woman in charge! By the time she was 5, the family had settled in Bakersfield, where she learned to love anything and everything about animals. She competed as a champion in POA horse shows across the western states, she raised hawks, and bred and raised Great Danes. In the 1990's, she established a highly successful dog training business, High-On Kennels, that focused on obedience training, hunting dogs and rattlesnake avoidance. She served an elite group of clients and was written about in the San Diego Tribune. Tracy also loved the elderly and the needy, especially her beloved grandmother, Gana.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, her son Luke, and her sisters Dianne and Christine. She is survived by her husband Fred, her sons Dustin and Parker, her sister Jan, and her brother Brian.

Tracy fought a long battle with early onset Alzheimer's. She was cared for by her husband Fred, who loved her unconditionally, and cared for her through sickness and health. Special people in her life helped with her care and allowed her to be cared for at home. Those angels include her ex-husband Chip, his wife Helen, and special friends Ruth and Greg.

Tracy is in a special place in heaven watching over her dogs and horses, and visiting with her old friends and relatives.
