Thomas Rogers Obituary

Thomas Ashby Rogers left this life on July 18, 2025. Tom was born in Ellicott City, MD on July 8, 1950. The son of Elizabeth Giddings Rogers and Gilbert Livingston Rogers. He attended the McDonogh School in Baltimore and graduated from Washington & Lee University in 1972. Tom worked his entire business career in the insurance industry and spent over 40 years with the Travelers, where he served as the Underwriting Director, Construction Services.

Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kent Rogers; his son Thomas Ashby Rogers Jr. and his wife Alexandra, their children Elizabeth and Charlotte; his daughter Helen Benoist and her husband Logan, and their children Jack and Claire; his brother Robert and his wife Patricia, and their children. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Elizabeth Claire Rogers.

A service in celebration of Tom will be held on Friday, July 25 at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, Tariffville, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Society of the Cincinnati at www.societyofthecincinnati.org. The Vincent Funeral Home of Simsbury, CT is caring for the arrangements.
