Henry Beykirch Obituary

Henry Beykirch, III

December 18, 1951 - March 17, 2026

O'Fallon, Illinois - Henry P. Beykirch, III, 74, of O'Fallon, IL, born December 18, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL, surrounded by family.

Henry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues and rarely missed watching a NASCAR race. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with cars, working in his yard and any time spent with family and good friends. He never met a stranger and truly loved living life to the fullest. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend. Above all, he adored being "Papa" to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Pam S. Beykirch, nee Bryant, whom he married on December 9, 1977, and who died on June 7, 2019; his parents, Henry II and Betty, nee Reinhardt, Beykirch; his father-in-law, Theodore Bryant; his mother-in-law, Myra, nee Rosener, Ogden; and two brothers-in-law, John Vassallo and Tom Steimel.

Surviving are his four children, Leslie (Jerry Shubirg) Beykirch, Catie (Chris) Hurst, Henry P. Beykirch IV, and Bryant (Kendra) Beykirch; five grandchildren, Mason Shubirg, Tristen Beykirch, Colton Beykirch, Hailey Beykirch, and Madelyn Hurst; a sister, Mary Fran (Jim) Ferdinandt; a brother, Chris (Terri) Beykirch; four sisters-in-law, Carol Vassallo, Kathy Steimel, Brenda (Rowdy) Fadler, and Stephanie (Mark) Boyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Henry was truly great friend of mine and sincerely express my deepest sympathy to his children. We got together often on Fridays with me, Spoof, big Mikey, sometimes Jerry Mayes and others and always had a wonderful time. Henry was a great character that I´ll always remember. We were all Catholics so drinking beer and having fun was always on our minds. Rest in peace my good friend and I´ll think of you until my time of passing.
