Kevin Sullivan Obituary

Kevin Sullivan

February 7, 1963 - March 11, 2026

Belleville, Illinois - Kevin G. Sullivan, 63, of Belleville, IL, born February 7, 1963, in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

A 1981 graduate of Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, IL, Kevin graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in accounting.

Kevin was a friendly, social man who knew no strangers; his humor and warmth drew people to him wherever he went. He loved to laugh, tell stories, and bring joy to those around him. Whether he was helping a neighbor, cracking a joke at a family gathering, or greeting someone new, Kevin made everyone feel seen and valued. His generous spirit and love of life made every moment spent with him memorable.

Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family. He traveled regularly to visit his children and grandchildren, and he loved attending their sporting events. Kevin loved a good Italian dinner on The Hill, enjoyed attending and working Queen of Peace fish fries, helping with events for Eden's Army, and had so many great memories at the Lake of the Ozarks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sullivan; and a great-niece, Eden Neville.

Surviving are his five children, Meghan (Brett) Duncan of Omaha, NE, Mallory (Andy) Studebaker of Leawood, KS, Mackenzie (Josh) Hasamear of O'Fallon, IL, Kylie (Trent) Matteson of St. Louis, MO, and Riley Sullivan of St. Louis, MO; eleven grandchildren, Audrey, Eleanor, and Catherine Duncan; Reagan, Maren, Joseph, and Levi Studebaker; Isla, Drew, and Shepherd Hasamear, and Aurora Matteson; his mother, Dolores Sullivan, nee Thompson; a brother, Rick (Susan) Sullivan; three sisters, Kathy (Bill) Schaefer, Carol (Jim) Neville, and Mary Kay Sullivan; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eden's Army. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Kevin was always a happy guy and so friendly! We had great times as kids at Althoff and as adults at our numerous reunions, parties and weddings. So very sad to hear that his time here was over. He will surely be missed.

To the family of Kevin, I am deeply saddened by this loss. Kevin and I were Althoff class of 1981 classmates. I last saw him at the 2016 reunion and had so much fun catching up on memories. He was always so kind and let you know that he cared about you. God bless Kevin and his family.
