Dorothy Ray Obituary

Dorothy Fern Ray, 96, Little Elm, Texas, passed away July 14, 2025 peacefully in her sleep at her home in Little Elm. She was born on January 5, 1929 in Saline County Arkansas to Monroe Ray and Alva Barron Ray.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents (Robert Lee and Izora Barron) who raised her from the age of 8 days due to her mother's passing. She is also preceded in death by her stepbrother Bill Blaylock and stepsister Maxine White.
Those left to remember her are her stepsister's children, Claude White, Debbie Blakley and Rene Fishburn, her cousins Ann Hames and Donna Potts, her stepsister-in-law Nina Blaylock. Those of her Texas Family left to remember her are Ravana (Van) Deaton (daughter of lifelong friend Norma Jean Deaton), Rita Hood, Peggy Phillips, her church family at Little Elm Church of Christ including Preacher Ashley Williams, wife Julie, daughter Violet, Ashley's dad Jim Williams, and the rest of her church family there.
Visitation will be on 10-11AM on Tuesday July 22 at Ashby Funeral Home 108 West Narroway Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015.
Services will be 11AM on Tuesday July 22 at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel 108 West Narroway Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015.
