John Davison Obituary

John Farrell Davison, 82, of Pensacola, FL passed away at home June 13, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. A true fighter with a huge passion for life, he never gave up.

Born in Dalton, Massachusetts on June 1, 1943 to his parents John and Madeline, he was raised in Dalton and attended Dalton High School, where he served as President of his class for 4 years. After graduating High School, he served for the Army National Guard for 6 years, while also studying at the Wentworth Institute where he graduated with a degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He spent most of his career working in various paper mills throughout the world before retiring from Beloit Jones of Dalton while living in Pensacola, FL.

John will always be remembered for his love of all genres of music, his passion for golf and the Florida Gators. He was always up for a good time, a good joke and a good scotch at happy hour! He had the ability to make friends wherever he went, and always made you feel right at home when you went to visit. We could not have asked for a better husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed every day by all who loved him and will live on in our memories and hearts forever.

John is survived by his wife, Julie, of 4 years. His sister, Susan Vigeant, his children, Debra Lukan (spouse Chelle), Kathleen McKelvey (spouse Jim), Theodore Davison (spouse Melissa), his grandchildren, Emily Pedro and Ashley Mazza, as well as a great-granddaughter, 10 year old Avarey. He is also survived by 7 step-children and several step-grandchildren.
