DANIEL CURTIS Obituary

CURTIS, Daniel Patrick Jr. Age 82, a proud Boston native born into the city's West End, on August of 1942, passed away peacefully at home, on May 21, 2025. Dan is survived by a large loving family, including five sons, their spouses, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews, who were by his side as he completed his journey with cancer, over the last six months of his life. He graduated as an engineer in 1963 from Boston University and during a 47-year career he worked on many projects, including satellites, naval defense systems and consumer goods, and was very proud to have been involved with the development of the first portable automatic defibrillator. All who knew him are welcome to Celebrate his Life with the family on Thursday, June 5, 2025, 11:00am, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, at 794 Calero Ave., San Jose, CA 95123. Dan's final resting place will be at sea with his beloved, Maryellen, in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
