Janice Nye Obituary
Janice K. Nye, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at her residence.
Janice was born November 11, 1944, in Tiffin to the late George and Velma (Kopp) Thompson. She married Gary Nye in Tiffin April 23, 1966, and he survives in Tiffin.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael (Kimberly) Nye of Tiffin and Christopher Nye of Mentor; three grandchildren, Christian, Erika and Kenzie Nye; and a sister, Georgia Orians of Findlay.
Janice retired from Mercy Hospital as a registered nurse in the OB Department. She was a member of Republic United Church of Christ and a 1963 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sailing Lake Erie, and camping with her family.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin, with the Rev. Darla Metz officiating. There will be no visitation or burial at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T.
