JoAnn Welker-Kelner Obituary

JoANN L. WELKER-KELNER, age 67, of Satsuma, FL., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 at Putnam Community Medical Center. She was a native of Dallas, TX., and had lived in Satsuma for the past three years, coming from Willowick, OH., where she lived for 40 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and had worked for 10 years as a social worker with Pathway Crisis Intervention, where she received a Congressional Commendation for her services. She was an artist, writer, and enjoyed choral singing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Joseph Kelner; and her sister, Corinne Stepanovic. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Shields and husband, James of Mentor, OH., and Cynthia L. Kriz and husband, Edward of Munson, OH.; her loving companion, Raymond Harko of Satsuma; seven grandchildren, Joshua Clough, Julia Clough, Jamie Shields, Jesse Shields, Katherine Kriz, Edward Kriz and Nicholas Kriz; niece Bonnie Allen of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.; and a nephew, Nicky Stepanovic. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Shoregate United Methodist Church, 30500 Bayridge Blvd., Willowick, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Humane Society. JOHNSON-OVERTURF FUNERAL HOME IN PALATKA, FL., IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
