Arline H. Conger

HIGGANUM

Arline H. Conger, 88, of Higganum, widow of Arthur H. Conger, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden.

Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie (Dalke) Heinzmann. Arline was an East Berlin resident before moving to Higganum in 1983. She was formerly employed as secretary at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Britain before retiring. Arline was a member of the former Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Kensington. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cross stitch, and doing different projects with her husband Arthur. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. She devoted her time caring for them when they were young and became a central figure in their lives.

Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Fritz and her husband William; her grandchildren, Jennifer Salce, Jake Fritz and Rebecca Fritz; sisters-in-law, Jane Gronback of Berlin and Barbara Heinzmann of Cromwell; niece, Miriam Heinzmann of Arizona; and nephews, Dirk Heinzmann of Cromwell, Seth Heinzmann of South Carolina, and Scott Robinson of Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Randy Conger and a brother, Albert Heinzmann.
