Samuel Lawson Obituary
Samuel H. Lawson, Jr., 93, died on July 4, 2025. Sam retired from IBM in 1992, having previously worked for the Connecticut Light & Power Co., and federal civil service. Born in Plymouth, CT, in 1931, he was the son of Samuel H. & Elsie Kiesel Lawson. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he married Rose Toscano, of Bristol CT, in 1956. He is survived by daughter Amy Lawson (Christopher Hayes); daughter-in-law Linda Kopp; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Lawson; daughter, Joanne Lawson; and sisters Lorraine Lasnier & Dorothy Johnson. Visitation will be held at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main St., Fishkill, NY, from 12-2 p.m. on Sun., July 20, with a memorial service at 2 p.m.. Memorial donations may be to Boscobel Home & Gardens (www.boscobel.org).

Dear Amy, Christopher and Linda, as we offer you our sincere condolences please know that we are grateful to have shared good times with Sam at Boscobel. He made everyday interesting and fun. The visitors loved him and we have many good memories of Sam, especially when practiced his dance moves in the entry hall. May your happy memories bring you comfort.

Dear Amy, Christopher and Linda: You will cherish the wonderful memories of your father. I was able to visit with Uncle Sam and we talked about the family gatherings and the good old days, so many memories. I'm sure Aunt Re welcomed him with a big hug - rest in peace Uncle Sam.
