I knew Jim through his wife Kay. I worked with Kay at West Seneca Developmental Center. She was a very special person who even though we had quite a few years between us struck up a great friendship. She knew I had a great love of fishing. She and Jim had a beautiful piece of land with a stocked pond on it. I remember meeting Jim when I took her up on her offer to come out to their home and to bring my pole. I was aware immediately that they had a great relationship. He always totally supportive in her endeavors to save rescue animals sometimes with a sigh but I noticed how he looked at her with enduring love. Here she had brought home another kind of lost 19 year old "stray" guy and welcomed me. I took a page from their book and found a wife much like Kay who I totally support in her the way Jim did. I didn´t know Kay had passed and would have given my heartfelt condolences at that time. What a great love story that set such a special example for me. The world is a bit darker without them both not in it! God bless you all.
