Dear Emily and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. From all I have read about his life , he seems a brilliant light who generously shared his energy and graciousness with all who knew him. I’m sorry we could not be there today to be with you at this sad time. May your Dad’s light and memory guide you to a peaceful and joyful time remembering how much he means to our world as we know it

We had so many inspiring and gifted teachers at Hamburg High School, educators with integrity, commitment, and dedication to students´ positive well-being and growth. John is at the top of that list of teachers who were fantastic role models and deeply cared about kids . . . and their colleagues too. John´s wisdom, compassion, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts and lives of all those he touched throughout his stellar career and beyond. John made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. He deserves all the fantastic accolades and tributes written here. Well done, John I hope you know how many lives you have molded, changed, and saved. Your legacy will live on through all of us who knew and loved you, along with our families and friends. May you rest in peace forever

I’m deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Mrozek’s passing. I graduated 20+ years ago, and I still tell people about the high school guidance counselor who saved me during my senior year when I was struggling with decisions about my future. I felt lost, and he was a lifeline. He helped to change the trajectory of my career and my life; and I will be forever grateful for his thoughtful and caring guidance.

What a true loss this is. John was a fixture in the North Collins community and will be missed in many ways. From his stellar term as North Collins mayor, his visits to our kitchen with summer produce grown in his garden, to friendly chats from seeing him in the neighborhood, life will just not seem the same without John around. Heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

I'm shocked and saddened to see that Mr. Mrozek has passed away. I had the pleasure of working with him when I long-term subbed at HHS and enjoyed many conversations with him. As I was in the beginning stages of my career, he was someone I knew would provide honest, sound advice. He made a positive impact on so many students. Condolences to his family and friends.

John was a good man. He cared passionately for the students and continued that passion well after retirement with HTA. My children had John as their guidance counselor.

My deepest condolences to the Mrozek family. Mr. Mrozek will always be a special person to me. I would not have made it through high school without his support and kindness. I owe so much to him because I would not be the person I am today without him. I was a very broken teenager after the loss of my dad and he helped put me back together. This world is a better place because of him.

The nicest person ever in so very many ways ! He treasured June, Emily and Morgan ! He was a terrific, caring guidance counselor at Hamburg High, leading a service club that was a great influencer for respect among all members in the group and welcoming to all students. My best memory is him is watching him park his car in the school lot, and having Emily & Morgan on each arm, all skipping to the door of the school so happily ! He will be dearly missed !

Johnny was the kindest, gentlest, most easy going cousin and friend that that I could have wanted. I always looked up to him and really appreciated when he would give sage advice and warm thoughts to me in times of trouble. I remember all the fun times we had as kids. Johnny, Chris, Paul, Steve and Marty was sort of young, would play kick the can on Benson Dr. in the summer at night. Or baseball with the wiffle bat and ball in his backyard. All the get togethers for the summer and fall corn roasts. Our childhoods were often enmeshed. I didn't get to see him too often as we became adults, married and then had children but I always knew I could count on him if I needed to. Johnny, you were deeply loved and will be forever missed. God Bless you and May you rest in everlasting peace. Love, your cousin Janet

Oh John, one of the few Gentleman left in this world. Someone I admired, and will never forget. You preformed my wedding ceremony, put up with my nonsense at the rehearsal ( although you neglected to warn me about marrying a girl who loves horses, being married to one yourself ). Take care my friend, keep the AC/DC and Bob Marley cranked. I’m sure I’ll still see you at the olde 6 AM Tops shopping events. You’re with the Lord now, and I know that between the two of you your wonderful loving family will be looked after. No worries, ever again.
