EVERTON, Mo. – Timothy F. Cook, 72, of Everton, Missouri and formerly of Independence, Iowa, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa.
Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein.
Inurnment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Rural Oelwein.

Timothy Fay Cook was born November 19, 1952, in Independence, the son of Robert Charles and Mary Lou (Shafar) Cook. He grew up on his family's farm outside of Winthrop. Tim received his education from East Buchanan Community Schools. On December 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Nona Alice Vargason at the First Baptist Church in Independence. To this union two children were born, Blayne and Lance. They later divorced. Tim had a passion for road construction. He started working for Cedar Valley Road Construction and for a few years worked for Iowa Ham in Independence until returning to Cedar Valley Road Construction until his retirement. Tim enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, gardening, and observing all the wildlife around him.
Tim is survived by his Daughter, Blayne (Greg) Jordan of Independence; Son, Lance (Mimi) Cook of Cedar Rapids; six Grandchildren; a Sister, Terri (Gary) Wunder of Quasqueton; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary.
