Gloria Daniels Obituary
Gloria ("Glo") Eva Daniels was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and faithful servant of God. She passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, at the age of 73, with her devoted daughter by her side.
Gloria was born on January 29, 1951, to Carlota and Luis Cano, Sr., in El Paso, Texas, and graduated from Austin High School in 1969.
In 1972, Gloria married her high school sweetheart, Fernando Roberto Grado. They were blessed with their only daughter, Nicole, and shared 17 memorable years together. Even as their lives evolved, they remained close friends and dedicated parents. Their enduring friendship was a testament to the love and respect they shared throughout their lives.
Gloria later married Charles Daniels, and for nearly 40 years together they served as missionaries, spreading the Word of God all over the world, including establishing Bible schools in Jamaica and England. They lived overseas and resided in England for more than 25 years then moved back to the United States and built their forever home in Burnet, Texas.
Her ministry was an important part of her spiritual journey, providing both hope and a deep understanding of God's Word to others. She was a beautiful reflection of God's goodness, faithfulness, and mercy. As a woman of great integrity, humility, patience, and love, her life was an extraordinary testimony to her unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Gloria was known for her kind heart, intelligence, quick wit, humor, and deep affection for both people and animals. Her "green thumb" and passion for gardening transformed every space she touched into a vision of pure beauty. She loved to travel the world and create special, lasting memories with her family. She had an infectious laugh and she loved to sing and dance.
She had a special way of bringing an abundance of joy and peace to others through prayer and laughter. Her strong faith, courage, and positivity always guided her through life's challenges and triumphs.
As an amazing mother, Gloria was an incredible inspiration and guiding light to her only daughter, Nicole Marie Grado. She led by example, instilling in her the values of love, faith, compassion, hard work, honesty, and integrity.
Her greatest joy was watching Nicole grow into a loving, successful, strong woman of faith. She was always there to support her with unconditional love, understanding, wisdom, prayer, and encouragement.
Gloria served faithfully in various ministries, and her love for God was evident in everything she did. She was always ready to lend support or a kind, listening ear. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the presence of our Lord.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Luis Cano , Sr., and her husband, Charles Daniels. She is survived by her mother, Carlota Escarcega Trillo, her daughter, Nicole Marie Grado, her close friend, Fernando Roberto Grado, and her brother, Luis Cano, Jr.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Gloria's spirit lives on in every butterfly that happily flutters its wings, every hummingbird that joyfully visits, every beautiful flower that blooms, every kind word spoken and every act of faith. She is missed deeply, but her legacy continues to shine brightly.
With eternal love and joyful remembrance, a Celebration of Gloria's remarkable life will be held on August 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Worship Center in Kingsland, Texas.
