PAULETTE DEVITA Obituary

PAULETTE DEVITA Paulette DeVita, 78, of Phoenix, Md., passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at The Masonic Home in Hunt Valley, Md. Born on August 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Doctor Paul Johnson and Louise (Mohan) Johnson. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic DeVita. Paulette graduated high school from Penn Yan Academy in 1964 and shortly thereafter received a degree from The Rochester Business Academy. She worked as an administrative assistant for a few years until becoming a full-time homemaker. In her spare time, Paulette enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling, and playing bingo, while spending time with her family and friends. Surviving Paulette are her two children, Kevin DeVita and his wife Christie DeVita of Stewartstown, Pa., and Dominic DeVita Jr. and his wife Jacqueline DeVita of Phoenix, Md.; her two grandchildren, Mackenzie DeVita and Eliot DeVita of Stewartstown; her sister; Patricia Dennison of Penn Yan, N.Y.; along with nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law, Caroline Johnson of Miami, Fla. Paulette was preceded in death by her brother, George Johnson; her brother-in-law William Dennison and sisters-in-law Diana Ostroski and her husband Ernest Ostroski and Marie Buckland and her husband Robert Buckland. Funeral services will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery in Penn Yan on October 19, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of life luncheon at Lakeside Country Club at noon.
