Dennis Seibert Obituary

Dennis passed away February 4th, 2025. He was born on December 11th, 1942, in Mascoutah, Illinois to Allen and Ethel Seibert. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Sheryl, a daughter, Maggie and a beloved grandson, Bowen, who he absolutely adored. He had 3 brothers and one sister: Richard (Mary), Lonee (Karen), Gary (Sandy) and Sandy (Richard).

He graduated from Clearwater High School, joined the US Air Force, and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. He was a financial advisor but had also worked as a stockbroker and had retired from SunTrust Bank as head of the trust department. He belonged to the Old Homosassa Civic Club and was on the Homosassa Special Water District Board for twenty-plus years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid card player who was always up for a game.

Dennis never met a stranger. His garage door was always open to whoever might stop by to chat. He loved Homosassa and the community from the moment he got there. Even after enduring the floods and their aftermath, there was no other place he would rather be. He was a kind man with a good heart who loved his family dearly.

Dennis has chosen to be cremated, and his ashes will be spread in the Gulf of Mexico at a later date with just the immediate family. Please join us for a short service in celebration of his life at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory located at 5430 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461 on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, with visitation from 11:00am - 12:00pm and the service from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
